UFC 270 picks

ABOUT THIS EPISODE

In this episode the guys break down the main card for 2022's first UFC ppv of the year UFC 270. The guy's also talk about the recent increase in UFC PPV's. Are we gonna get more for our money?

This is the motivation episode. You did, that old coast to coast the podcast. It talks about what's important on and off the mats. I got my boy, Fonzo. What up, Fonzo? What up, man? I'm just here chilling on a Sunday morning, sipping on some coffee, about to get into these fights. Man, these are some good fights. A lot of heavyweights in this card. So pretty excited about some of these motherfuckers thrown it down fucking freight trains, but also some very excited about the the Co main event to so how you doing today? I'm doing good, man. I got my coffee, I got my notes out. Actually, I'm Lyne. I don't got notes out, but I do have multiple screens, mixing thing with some. No, as you screen, you meant balls out. You had your balls out. Yes, you know, the left, just the left one. Thank yeah, Bro. What what you doing now? It's the first thing view of two thousand and twenty two. I need all the luck I can get, man. We got all right, one, two, three, four, five fights. Five fights on the main card. We're only doing the main card. We do want to give love out to our boy Rodolfo Vieta, who will be on the prelimbs. We know he's probably just going to get an endo condos strangle. Hopefully so represent you jutsu. Well, I know he will, but if you're looking forward to that, check that fight out on the prelimbs. But me and Fonzo just going to do some pics on the main card. So, Fonzo, I got odd shark up on my page. I got some Weeki links opened up and I got the card. Bro You ready? You want to go first? You want me to go first? You I mean to introduce. Let me. Let me go first. So first off, on the on the main card, we have a bout, a my weight bout, between cody stamen and said I met off is. He's not related to you. To be bright like. There's no relation there. I don't believe so. No, I think they just have a common last name. Yeah, all right, cool, it's like Garcia for Mexicans. All right, cool, all rightastly so fucking all right. So, Cody Salmon and Satan New Marka met of first of all, I was looking up the odds. But what are you finding on Art Shark? Well, let me go over there. Tail the tape real quick. Here Fonzo tail. The tape says cody steamen coming in with the record of nineteen four and one. He's thirty two years old, five foot five and he normally fights at one hundred and forty five. So he's coming down, and wait for this one, say twenty nine, five foot seven, one hundred and thirty five, coming in with a record of fourteen and two odd sharks. Odd Sharks says that cody stamen is coming in as a plus one hundred and sixty five underdog and said is a two hundred favorite. Yeah, yeah, some of the sites I was looking at earlier had them up a saw as two hundred and forty five. so He's a favorite, pretty good, you know, favorable to win this fight, and I think that's pretty good. Man. My my my instinct says that he's going to get a second round knockout against cody salmon. I just don't see cody being able to outwork him or, you know, at there's there's less tools that he has at disposaled it and then say you didn't say eat. Is just one of those guys. I mean he doesn't he's got like just different creative sty cream dude and he just comes from from like weird angle sometimes. So I think it's just going to end up catching cody in one of those MMM MMMMM. All right, all right. Well, I'm have to go the opposite way, man. Just move the one thing, I mean, I was looking at both of these fighters in the one thing that stuck out to me the most between them both was not only that cody has gotten his ass kicked a lot and really bad in the last few fights, but SID hasn't fun since October of two thousand and twenty. So that kind of worries me a little bit. You know, coming in, what's that? Almost like a year and it's like a year three months, I guess. Well, yeah, you know. So that's quite a bit of a layoff there. And then, on top of that, the the level of fighters that he was fighting up against aren't very impressive. You know, I'm not familiar with too many of the names. I see a justine Scottoggins, I'm familiar with that guy and he got to win by split decision, you know. And then you look at Cody stamens last fight he was against Ma Rob Devi, devis billy, and that was a massacre. You know, even though he got. He lost. It was unanimous decision and he did go unanimous decision lost. He did go through rounds with him. He also went three rounds with Jimmy Rivera. That was another tough fight for him,...

...and then before that I'd see who else was a tough fight for him. Out He did lose to Al Jamaine second round suddenly in, and then before that he beat Brian Carroway. So I'm you know what, I'm gonna go with cody staymen, just because he's been through the shit, he's been through the grinder and this might be a fight he might be able to sneak in and get a unanimous decision victory or even sneaking the dirty Ko somehow. You know, make it an ugly fight, because that's what it's going to be. You know, he's going to have to make this fight unorthodox because said is looks like he's a pretty discipline fighter. You know, he's like the typical Russian grappler, supper strong, but this guy's got striking, which is the scary part, and that's where one thing that that cody doesn't have that could get him in trouble. So I don't know, maybe he can create a Scram Boll and sneak in, a sneak in a guillotine or a sneaky uppercut or a knee, but I'm going cody stamon split decision. All right, all right, you're trying to make your money. All Right, I see you, bro It's two thousand and twenty two. I see you. All right, you takeing some wrist, so you think it's wrist. All right, good stuff, good stuff. All right. Let's go on to the next fight. We have a heavyweight fight greg hardy versus Seragey spit back it looks like Alexander Alexei pulled out of the fire. Huh, Alexi pulled out of the fight? I think so. Yeah, man, I just saw it. Came out of couple days ago. Let's see, take a time out and look that up. Yeah, I'll Greg Heart he's out, not Alexei. Wait, but no, no, wait, first it says Greg Hardy gets new opponent. Then this one says Greg Hardy shows grew some finger injury, announces fight versus Sergey Spivak is off. But Oh so this will fight is cancelman, is canceling. Yeah, unless I can get a replacement by next week for for Sergey. Yeah, I bet you the just move up the rodolful fight. I bet you they'll just move up one of the other fights. Yeah, it's my it might be too late to get a replacement fight. And then they just had to get a replacement fighter, you know, right, right, for Alec Alexander Olinic. But so that sucks, man. I did not know about that. I didn't know about well, Greg Hardy. But all right, well, that that like the article says, this is just from yesterday. So this just happened, you know, all right, everywhere. Thirteen, three days ago, and then mm junkies reporting yesterday on the fifteen that he showed his finger. That was all trashed. So five charcoal. Yeah, I guess putting his fingers up is but last, yes, who see you. All right, let's do next. By next, all right, boy, go for Michelle Pereda, Peada, but Hada, and against Andre Fiallo Fiah. Yes, yeah, is the Italian. I don't know now he's Brazilian. Okay, so watch, you go over it steps with us. Tail the tape for a strect all right, tail the tape says Michelle Parada is coming in with the record of two eleven and to no contest. He's twenty eight years old, six foot one, hundred and seventy pounds on the day. Fiallo, twenty seven. I don't have his high here, but he is listed at a hundred and seventy pounds. Sure dog has him listed with a record. Let me see it's coming up here. Fourteen wins, three losses. Says he's six feet tall. Yeah, one, no contest. Okay, and I'm not sure if I'm reading his fight history. I mean this is gonna be his first fighting the UFC, right? I think so. Yeah, man, he was fighting for another organization. Yeah, yeah, it looks like he was. He's been fighting for quite a while. To See your first yeah, something weird. I don't know. So I've never heard of it, but it looked like it was like in the United Emirates or something. But so wal these. Yeah, I can't find the odds for this fight. So I looked them up earlier and the ones that I was looking at the had Michelle Preta at negative three hundred being the favorite for this fight. Oh Wow. And Yeah, and then they had Andre Fiallo at about negative...

...two hundred. Forty five, you know, I mean a plus two hundred and forty five. Excuse me. So that was I was the obs that I looked up earlier today. You know, give or take a few few points here from different sites or whatever. But so for this fight, I'm predicting Michelle Partada is going to be able to kind of out work Andre I fiallo to get a unanimous decision. It just you know, Michelle this is he's tall man, he's a big, big dude. He's going to use that to just kind of keep Andre at bay, not really allow him to do a whole lot, and he's just going to end up squeezing out the united decision at the end. It's good. I don't think he's getting Andrews gonna be able to do much. It'll be a pretty good fight. Seems like they both are pretty scrappy. They both, you know, like to exchange with Michelle's a little bit more of kind of like a like. He tries to like kind of hang back a little bit. He's not that aggressive. He likes to wait and then come forward. So I think that's going to give me the advantage. He's going to be more patient in this fight. Holy Scape. Yeah, you're probably right, man. You're probably right these looking at both of these guys, whose records it look like they're both trackers. Andre Fillo has a lot of most of eleven of his fourteen wins coming by ko or and ti Ko. So it's what he likes. The man he likes to bang. If you look at him, he looks like he's wearing an epileptic helmet, but that's just his forehead. So he's not like homer season's ball. So that be why he's been so successful. Now. Yeah, one thing, you parata, Michelle Parada's got all the tools, dude, he's like he's got the muscle, he's got the skill, he's got the experience. So he does he have the gas tank? Is he going to waste it on his way into the cage and gats out two minutes into the fire? He's been a little bit better these last couple fights, but still, I mean, I don't know. Who Do you am? I am I right? What am I wrong? What do you know your days are? You're right, you know you're right. I mean I think he's doing better. Men like He. who was his last fight against? Let me look at it, but his last fight here is last fight was against Nico in July and he went by and I guess decist right and in that fight that's exactly what he did. He was able to kind of like pace himself and you saw him kind of hang back and not try to go bostle the wall from the beginning. So I think that's what ended up edging him out against Nico, and because DGO remember he was that was a pretty good fight. It was. It was a good back and forth fight and Niko had him a couple times. But yeah, you know what I mean. And it was one of those calls where it could have gone either way. Like you know, you were looking at that fire you're like, yeah, I could have seen maybe Nico squeezing it. But now Michelle did more in that fight and he was able to stay on the outside of Nico's range for a lot of it. So I think that's what's going to happen this time as well. So, yeah, he had that win against Nico and then he fought three times in Covid Dude, three times in two thousand and twenty, and he went he technically should have gone three and old because he beat chaos Williams Zealin Amye and then I don't know if you remember this, but he fought Diego San Entchiz and he got DQ because of an illegal me. Dude, I don't I don't think I watch that fight. Yeah, yeah, so he was, he was totally winning that fight, man, but he did something stupid. So he should have gone three and know. And so I don't know. Maybe maybe that that putting those that bad cardio is behind him. Maybe he did settle them. Maybe he is does have a new camp now that he's a little bit older, he's got a little bit more experience, but we'll see. I you know. With that being said, though, if I got to put my chips on somebody, I'm going Michelle Pareda for sure, maybe even finish. I don't know, man, this guy, this is this guy could get a stage fright. You know, this going to be his first, his first time on a paper you and he's going to be on the main car. Yeah, that's that's yeah, that's pretty up there, man. You're right. You know what a dude. This guy trains with Sanford MMA. So I don't know if that team speaks for itself. You know, maybe they know something we don't and this could be a total upset? Yeah, it could be. It's always like these. Knows right for sure? We never know. Yeah, you know, this might be worth it just to put some put some money on this, because you can make a nice, pretty penny on Fiallo, it sounds like. You know, and Pardaya does leave himself open to getting far. mean if he go price walked him up. You know, if Andre fiallow's got half the striking game that Niko price does, he's going to have some opportunities. Yeah, and know what I was looking at when...

I was kind of looking at this fight? I was I went back and I started looking at fiallo's previous fights. He does have some pretty good standup skills, man, he's got some good technique. So if he's able to kind of stay discipline and stay crisp with this, with his boxing, use the jab and stuff like that, I think he can take Michelle. Man, he definitely can win. Dude, that was gonna sing. That's what I was just going to say. I said I was thinking like Parada is really undisciplined and Unorthodox. He'll he'll throw in a flying knee out of nowhere when it doesn't even need to be, you know, and in doing that he could himself open. If, if PA, if Y'Allo just stays discipline and stays in that pocket and waits for the right moment to counter, dude, he can blast him. Yeah, yeah, for sure, for sure. So, yeah, you might be right, man, he can win. My money still on Michelle, though, like, if I'm if I'm going to pick who I really think is going to win, I think Michelle's going to win. But if I'm going to win some money, if I'm want to like bet on this, I probably bet the other way just because, like, Hey, you make some good money off of it and get two hundred and forty five, isn't it? I mean positive what two hundred and forty five isn't isn't half bad, you know? I mean, yeah, yeah, that's what it does on my book. My bookie gots parata at the three hundred and five and fiallo at a plus two hundred and forty five. I might play double underdog on this parley. Dude. Yeah, I'm gonna go fiallo. Split decision broke. All right, cool, cool, let's move on. Made this part of the going right now. Yeah, all right, well, we got next. What we got there? The next one is the CO main event, we have my boy, Brandon Morren no, shout out to you, J whoo. Yeah, so brandon, Mrno, wait, the D Huas in the house, he ques and against David Sin Fi get ay, though, this is part three, this is the rubber match. Their first fight ended up in a draw, controversial draw, and then we had a win last time by Morendo via rear naked joke, and then now brown. Was that first round? Third Round? How, man? I think it was third. Heard the ground. Yeah, twenty six, yeah, learning, got that room naked, got that Soussio and the QUA style. So we got Brandon Moreno being a negative one hundred and seventy five favorite here. So just a slight favorite. And Yeah, man, and I think it's going to go that same way again. I don't think he's going to end up subbing him this time. I think for you they though kind of now he should have been training for for better, you know, Better Jiu Jitsu defense. Now that he's he was put in that situation, so hopefully did. We'll see. We'll see, you know. And if that happens, I don't think Brandon's going to be able to get that the center round, but I do think that he's going to end up out working him. So I got brandon coming up with the decisions, like edging out the decision over Davison, Figa Ato. So you got to said decision, I got decision. Yeah, thing is going to go, Oh wow, all right, let me let me give you the tailor of the tape here, bro We have come in with one nine five and two, twenty eight years old, five foot seven, I want to say, you know, a hundred and twenty five pounds finance at the QUANTA. Davison figured at thirty four, with coming in with the record of twenty two and one, five foot, five foot for so he's a little bit shorter, obviously coming off of that loss, but before that, coming up, coming off of a split or a draw, I'm sorry, and then before that he had one, two, three, four, five, Um, five wins in a row, you know right. So he was on a bit of a hot streak. He was dominating that weight class for a long time. Really, I'm not going to say anything that I didn't say the last time, and I remember me and Edie were talking about this, you know, and then then you just hit a hit upon it. I want to say. You know, when you were saying he's only twenty eight years old. He's got youth on his side. He's only gonna get better. Not Saying that Davidson figgidato is old and he can't get any better, but he's probably seen his best days behind him. He gave it all he could two fights in a row he couldn't finish him. What is he going to do this time? That's different, you know. And then, I don't know. This is on top. This is side. I haven't even made my decision yet. I mean actually, actually I have. I'm going Brandon Moreno, for sure, I think he I don't see why he won't get...

...another finish. I would hope he would get a finish, but sure he's going to get the W so you think he might. What kind of finishes HE gonna get? Is he knocking gonna knock him out? Is Going to submit him? What do you think? I think you could be another submission, another sub I think that he could. Either he's either going to come off of because he's a pretty good counter striker and Figgi likes to come in and throw all he's got into every single punch. You know what I mean? So you over throw, you overextend yourself, put yourself off balance, and Brandon is training for that, for those specific moments in the fight to come up and if he can counter and drop him, which I think that's how he dropped the the in the last fight. No, yeah, I think he dropped him and then he took his back and I think that's what's going to happen again. I think just a culmination of shots, of peppering him over and over, he's gonna drop them and he's going to open him up and he's going to sell them again. Side Note, there's been some beef that's come up on the Internet. I don't know if you're aware of this or if you guys out there listening have heard, but Figi Figgi has been talking extra shit, saying he's gonna Finish Brandon this time, and and even sendry, sendry, Henry so judo has been talking shit because I guess back in the day Brandon Moreno was training with Um, Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, and goverment trader, somebody was. And then who asked Brandon Marino to come help him train? Ah, Shit, I don't know, I forget. I forgot idea. I forgot who. I did see that tweet that he called him a tweet traitor. Yes, yeah, and and that's the reason why. So let me, let me look that up. Let me see who he, who he? Who It was? I'll look it up right now while you look at why. You look that up, Dude. You know, I also want to fucking comment that underson, who has been talking so much shit recently. He put it on. What did he say? Something about him stepping in and filling in for an upcoming fire against Volcanoski? Yeah, I guess, Folkenofsky. And then Dana's talking Shit, saying Nah, fuck that. You know, you retired. It doesn't work that way. You can't just choose when you want to come back, and then you got to be white or Canadian. Fool. Yeah, that's what he said. You were spot it back saying that, and my move is being or GSP, and you ain't one of those, so get to the back of the line, fool. He also he came back and he said what's called hinders. WHOO. Came back and said, Hey, Dana, come on, man, I was just I was tired. I needed a break. I got married, has some kids, because now I feel better. I'm ready to come back. It goes plus. What do you say? Something like he said something like I opened up my own whiskey bar or some shit, and then, Oh man, he said something else. He goes, I'm ready to return, like talking shit about like you know how connors able to do it? Let me tell okay, hilarious. They're fresh and that's w let me explain. His opponent that, he says, but helped. I mean. So the whole reason that there's this beef between them now is because Marlon morice was going to fight Henry Cejudo, and I guess Marlon Morice contacted Brandon Morino and Brandon Marinos like, Oh yeah, I'll come and train with you. So I'm sure he got paid for it. I'm sure you know. I'm sure there's no ill will or nothing intended, but he did it and because of that, I guess he's a traitor. You know I mean? I mean, I don't know that. I I'd be a little upset about it if that were the case. You know, imagine one of your training partners, that you I mean, and who knows how long they trained for? Maybe he went in for a week or something. If that's if that's what it is, and who just shit. But if he was there day in and day out for a year or a couple years and then all of a sudden some guys like hey, come help me train against I gotta fight. I fight against your homie or, you know, one of your training partners. Come help me. Oh yeah, I'll come. I can see that and that is kind of shady, but I still I'm going with Brandon Marino. So fuck that, right, right, yeah, fuck that. Oh, I found a tweet from Henrys W huo. So it says Dana. I needed to break. Honestly, it was getting boring beating up TJ pillow shaw and under a minute and dominant and Dominic's news into I got married, had a kid and now I'm rejuvenated. I want to be. For See, if I beat up an old guy at a bar and learned how to river dance, will you give his shot? Ha Ha. Henry said, Hudo, who points? I'll allow it. And then he posted a picture of Connor being choked out by by Kabib. And then, Oh, and then, side by side he posted a picture of himself knocking out. Fuck, I forget who's knocking out he's he was...

...like a knee strike to the face. And then above Kabib's picture, submitting connor it's as double Chump, and then above Henry secudas picture says double champ, and then Connor McGregor responded with hunt. Henry, say who? That is a little farest. He should have just replied with that clip. Who the fuck is this? All right, that's WHO's this Boolguita over here, dare food. The twitter beef is real. I love it. I love it, man. I love when they do shit like that. Man, I love when they do shit like that. I love when they put extra on the fight and it makes me want to do even more. You know, it make it makes me want to watch because it makes you want to say some for a paper. You Go, no, fuck that. I put some talk about that before we talk about the main event. Hell, yeah, yeah, wors green and red, though the green one is always been green runs all. Yeah, but yeah, I guess we should, man, we should talk about that bullshit. So Hey, per views and now seventy five bucks. Why, though? Why? Why? Why? Are we going to get more fights? I'm probably not. How full are we going to get a better APP hopefully Shit Dud, the ESPN and booty trash, straight trash. Yeah, man, but and it sucks. And then you gotta didn't have it is and you gotta pay five dollars for the APP. On top of that, five dollars a month. Yeah, the APP will the APP went up also, I think. Yeah, that's right. Fuck man, fucking dude. Yeah, it so in order to buy the pay per view you have to subscribe to ESPN plus, otherwise you're not going to get it here in the United States. Right. So you have to either get the subscription for the month, which you like. I'll funds. Will say, is it five bucks a month? It well, it was. Now that you said it went up. Maybe it's not, maybe it's one person already it was five bucks a month. I remember when it very when it first started, it was five bucks a month and I want to say it was like, I don't remember, some crazy deal that I got when it first started and a nice signed up for ESPN plus for the year because they were going to start getting UFC fights and at that time it wasn't even like seventy five bucks for the whole year. And then once you did that, you were able to purchase an ESPN pay per view, whereas in the past, if you had comcast or direct TV, you just went into the APP and then you are mean into yours, you guide and you just revive her. Just a pay per view. Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's some bullshit, man. Yeah, but I'm not like a think what is it that they could possibly give us? Is there anything that they're that we're going to get more out of this? I don't think so. Not Not us, man, not not as his viewers. The only thing is, I mean we've been talking about this for a long time, but man, some of that money's got to go to the fighters. Like if it does, and I mean do I pay seventy five bucks for a pay per view? I mean I want to pay seventy finals for pay per view. Not Really. But in the end there's like when we're playing a pay per view every month for a while, yeah, recent good shows and for yeah, me too. And then that's the other thing, man, like I was just going to say, yeah, we have, we look, there's there's a fight like almost every other weekend, right, but some of those fights are just they're not that some of those cards aren't really all that good. So could we? Could we not have as many events but have better quality events, you know what I mean? Like maybe that's way why they're like. You know, yeah, if that was a case in the seventy five dollar pay per view will, then that makes it worthwhile. You know I mean you have a super super stack card. Every time we watch a pay per view. Yeah, that's something to get excited about, but if you have like a Co Walt, so you're just no, no, they won't. So what? I pay seventy five for a super stat card? Hell, yeah, would, but definitely I don't know. So that's that's my problem. Is, like you do have a lot of events, but it's just like some of them you watch them because you know they're still entertaining, but it's not like, Oh, I need to go out of my way to watch this. You know, if I end up catching it or if I have end up being able to, then that's cool and I'm going to join it anyways because I enjoy the sport, but it's not something I'm super excited about all the time. So I don't know. Man, seventy five dollars time, so check by her. Yeah, I'll mean on top of on top of regardesss of the price the APP. It doesn't work well. It used to be fifty nine and ninety nine for the year and now it's sixty nine and ninety nine for the year. You used to pay five hundred ninety nine a month. Now it's gone up to six ninety nine,...

...if you're paying but month to month. The pay per views went up from sixty five to seventy five. Or were we paying seventy and then it went up to seventy five? They were seventy Hunh yeah, sixty ninety nine, and then now they're there's seventy for ninety nine, or seventy five nine, I can't remember, but they're like seventy five bucks now seven. Yeah, Seventy Five, seventy five bucks. So it's seventy four ninety nine. And too, when this whole thing first started we were paying thirty five dollars. I remember that. Has Some production you gotten better? Definitely, production value has gotten better. What else has gotten better? Fighters have gone better. They've invested in the performance institute so fighters have a place to go and train, get nutrition, get access to doctors, medical fantastic. They've opened up their own little venue where they can have fights on the side. They even invested in Fight Island in the United Emirates so that they can have fights in case they shut the entire United States down. What else have they done? Have they given fighters lifetime medical no, no. Has Fighter pay increased that much? I still think the minimum pays k. So it's got up a little bit, but K to fight, K to win? That's seems like not good. Not. Didn't specially. Yeah, you putting you camping by your hanger? No, definitely not. Not. Not a what what are they going to do? That's different, man, you're absolutely right, so I it. Don't quote me on this, but I think that since they signed the ESPN deal, no matter what, no matter how many people watch, no matter how many pay per view sell they get a set amount for every show they put on, regardless of the numbers. So who's that there? You have s you can only man. I. Yes, yeah, ESPN gets a cup from or UFC gets a check from ESPN for every show they put on ESPN. That's why I like during the pandemic, the UFC was in Chagas to put shows on because the ESPN was like a we won't you say you were going to give us seventy shows in two thousand and twenty? What's up, Eagle and UF? He's like, well, what about quote? They're like, I don't give a fuck about covid fool. The contracts says seventy shows or whatever the hell it was. And then after that, dude, that was when they got Eiland going, that was when they got the into to the Apex Center going, that was when they were doing things in Florida. They were just pushing, pushing, pushing, because they needed to get those number of shows out, regardless of WHO's on that end. Think about how many times fighter just tested positive and they had to pull people out. How many main events got changed weeks from the show and instead of canceling the show, they just put somebody else in? You know, that would be like a Il Fantoma take you out too full to the best good Nasala fries you had in your life. Full and then we get there and then I'm like a fool, my bad, we got to go get chili dogs from rally. I'd be pissed full. Not Going to be disappointed, my friend. You're going to be disappointed. Now our chili cheese is a chili cheese dog good. Yeah, you know, but would you rather wait a little bit longer for some kindness out the fries? For maybe, maybe, but what's the incentive if they're going to get paid for every cardinal matter what? The UFC's doesn't give a shit. Yeah, that's true, man. This is where we're talking about the other day, man, we there's going to be another rival organization to come up and that's that's you know that. If, if you know, we talked about this last time, if there was a Bellat or or some other organization who starts a different model for for incentive pay for their for their fighters, that can take is to a whole new level, man, because people would want to one jump ship. Initially they might not get paid as much, but over time, as the build a promotion like they they get a piece of a larger piece of it, and then that piece is a lot of larger than what the UFC's pain. Look, that's what a god New and God who's doing now we haven't even gotten to that fight yet. Yeah, what are you just what are you just recently say? He just said that he's not going to fight for anything less than like what like to mill something like that. I don't he said no more. I he said something like I'm not fighting for five hundred or seven hundred grand, no more, something like that, right, I think, yeah, but I think he said it. I like to mill too. Yeah, so, you know what I mean, like that's the kind of stuff you have your fighters, your top fighters. I mean, I don't know, man, if I was a fighter and I've had, you know, I had the money, I might consider taking a pay cut, going to another organization, signing another organization, so that way, you know, originally like yeah, my pay would meant might be less, but enough fighters jump, jump ship, build up that organization, my my share of the Pie is going to get larger. You know what I...

...mean? Yeah, so sure, Dude. You have seen nest PN and Disney in their back pocket, right. So that's some heavy hitters, man. They got a lot of help. So whoever's going to do take on the UFC, they're gonna have to take on a big partner to show. Yeah, but it did. They could do it, man, it could happen. You know that the scales needed tilt in the fighter's favors eventually. And I found the quote, for instance, and gun who says no, I will not fight for five hundred thousand or six Hundredero in anymore and, God is said in an interview with ESPN, it's over. I took this fight just for a personal reason because I want to make sure that, regardless of it being unfair, I can make my case that I have complete the fights. So I know that he also want to be able to box and do MMA at the same time. So if if that's in the US, I doubt that you have seed. lets him do that. You know, how's he going to fight out? How's he going to prepare for boxing when he's only already fighting one to two times a year? So how many, like does he still have a lot left in this contract or what all? This is last fight, all right, so then he can, he doesn't have to resign with the UFC. Maybe after this that, maybe, maybe that? Yeah, maybe that's why he's saying it like he's like done, Hey, if you don't pay me this much by next contract doesn't say that this is what I'm guaranteed, then I'm you know, by you know what I mean. And I don't know, Mike Dude, like right now they're like the boxing world, in MMA world or like crossing over heavily. So, you know, WBC or maybe another boxing organization my just allow it on like on a like be part of a card somewhere where he can just be like kind of like an attraction. You know, they can promote shit of it. He might not be the main event, but they might promote the shit out of it and get people to watch and then maybe you can start climbing those ranks. I don't know. Yeah, yeah, man, you never know. But anyways, so last fight, man, where we got last fight, Francis and Gon who taking on cerrial gone. So much at stake here. A lot of beef. Francis and Gan Wu. I didn't it's thirty five years old, six foot three, two hundred and fifty pounds. CERRIAL gone. Thirty one, six foot three, two hundred, forty five pounds. Cero gone, coming in with the record of ten and no, Francis and gon new, sixteen three and Oh dude, I just rewatched Francis and Gon who's fight against what was his last fight? STEEPING keep a? Yeah, yeah, I knew what scame. motherfucker. Man. Yeah, that's shit. Was He put it to him? Dude, I was. I thought steep it was going to get him. And, Oh my dude, all right, I'm looking over there. I mean with every without looking at their records, with just looking at what's been put out by the media. You know someone, everyone knows that someone put out that video. You know a video. I'm talking about Fonzo. Let's just remind everybody which talking about. So somebody released some footage because, if you guys don't know out there, cyrial gone and Francis used to be training partners at the same gym under what's The guy's named? Ferdinand Lopez fight factory in Paris. They used to be training partners and you know there's that unspoken rule that whatever happens in the gym stays in the gym. But somebody was recording a sparring session between the two guys and they leaked it, they let it out, and in the footage that they let out, it seems that Cyril gone was getting the best, the better of Francis and gunner. Yeah, no, yeah, yeah, friend, he's gotten mad because he said that they purposely edited the footage to make it look like Francis was getting his ass woods. And then his old coach response by saying nobody did anything. If you really wanted to see the whole thing, will release it and you can see where Francis gets dropped by a knee and doesn't want to continue, and then Francis later responds with well, no one says anything about when I upercut him or something like that. But he also claims that he dropped Cyril in that same session. But that filth, that footage isn't popping up anywhere. So that added just a little smoke to the little more extra gas to the fire that's been going on. You know. And if you look at that video, dude, it does look like Cyril is getting the best of him. It looks like his stand up is a lot more crisper. He's he's, you know, putting punches together. He's got really good footwork, he's got really good reach. He's just as big as for as Francis, so he's not gonna be able to bully him around, you know. But do when you look at the records in the level of competition that they fought. I mean, let's look at cerrial gone's last fight. He did be Derek loose by TKO...

...round. Every before that he went five rounds with Alexander Volkoff, which he won by unanimous decision. Before that, five rounds with Yarzino rose and strike, unanimous decision. Before that Tko second round against jds. That was in two thousand and twenty, and then before then a beast decision tanner bowsman. What's that? He's been a beast, dude. He's he's been a beat stupid if you look at them, I mean he's gone the distance with multiple guys here, distance with Alexander Volkan, distance with Yarzino rose and strike, distance with Tenner Boseman, distance with dawn tally maize. And then you look at Frances and it's like round to Tko, steep a, round one Yar Zino rose and strike, round one, jds, round one, came velocity, round one curtis blades, you know. And then you got to go all the way back to two thousand and eighteen, where he lost back to back fights by unanimous decision to Derrick Lewis and steep a, and then before that he was on his first tear when he first got into the UFC. So right, dude, I mean I'm torn here. I'm not sure what do. What did the odds. They fundo. So the odds due there. They're pretty fucking even, dude. The odds for have Frances and God who believe it or not, being a slight underdog, plus one hundred. MMM Yeah, and Syl gone is just a negative like one hundred as well around there, you know, being a slight favorite, which is fucking interesting as fucked me. But maybe it has to do with that league footage, you know what I mean? That may have swayed a lot of a lot of opinions and then just tweaked these odds a bit. My my personal opinion, dude, because I saw the footage you're talking about US I when first came out. You're absolutely right. It looks like Sirl gone is getting better the exchanges, and that might that might have happened, dude like that. That probably was legit, you know what I mean. I don't think it was doctor or anything like that. It didn't look doctor to me. But here's the thing, man, when you're sparring like you're sparring like you're kind, they always teach you right, you got to be kind to your sparring partners, you know what I mean? Like, yeah, you want to go and you want to make it realistic, but you don't want to hurt nobody. These these guys are your friends, you know what I mean. So in a sense, man is isn't got it. Here's the thing. No, and God who has been able to be so dominant because of his power, because of his strength, because not just his is, you know, his Christness and his boxing or his footwork or anything like that has been his power. You just said it. Knock out after knockout after knockout right. Is He's going to knock fuckers out in in in in sparring sessions? Probably not. In Ghana. Doesn't seem the type of dude to do that. Now there's been fuckers who have. Tyson, for example, used to knock out cow on this fucking sparring powder just so you can go home watch Tom and Jerry. It's go on cartoons. Yeah, I know, see what I'm saying, but like in Gondo doesn't seem the time to do that kind of Shit. So he's not going to go boss the wall on somebody likes herl go on. So that, yeah, that exchange might have happened, you know what I mean. And Yeah, there's they're pretty evenly matched. Maybe cyriles got a little bit more technical skill, so he's able to get on the inside, he's able to land those strikes and he might have landed that and you know, actually did land that. That need that put in Gona down. Can he do that? And in real life? Yeah, I'm sure he can't. Is it likely? I don't think so. You know what I mean? That's where the difference is for me right now, is the likeliness that Cyril's going to be able to do that while trying to avoid Francis his power. Is probably not going to happen. That's not very likely to happen in this fight. So yes, he can do that, yes, he can beat him, but I don't think he's gonna be able to. And so you got friend, I got Francis. I got second round Ko for Francis. Yeah, yeah, same here. I mean I don't know, I was originally I was really going leaning more towards Cyril, gone just because he's more reserved, he's more calm, he's a tech, more of a technical guy. Yeah, where as Francis is just left fucking hurt like a fucking crazy white belt, you know what I mean, just super squirrely, elbows and knees coming from everywhere and he's just you're just going to be in for a fucking hell of a storm, you know. But Dick, I mean you just just look at Francis his record and the pain where they've had common opponents. He's just dismantled. You know, he dismantled our Jarsino Rosen strike in what was it the first round? Second Round, first round, twenty twos. First Round took gone five rounds to put him away, not to mention he's face some technical strackers before. I mean...

...like Alice Sir Ovary, you know what I mean, like he's Alice or written. His is been a fucking veteran and that dude has some technical skills. Steve Ball, I mean great mox. He is like going past Jupiter. Right now it's still having come back exactly. I mean Jake jds, although admittedly jds is when he fig ads he was kind of on the downward slide already, but jds has got some good hands, he's got some good technical skills. Wasn't a match. So I don't think Searle's gone. Has has anything that that gone? Who hasn't seen yet? You know. Yeah, I agree, he doesn't have to worry about the takedown. I mean I don't know if Cyril gone. And you know what, I'm surprised because I saw a highlight real and Cyril Gon does have a win by heel hook in the UFC. So maybe that's part of the game that he might have to worry about. I don't know. But yeah, but I don't see how n could take Frances down. Yeah, so he does. I was gonna say not, gonna have to worry about that. Yeah, yeah, he and and his take down the fence has improved quite a bit. So when we saw him using that against his last five was steep A. Yeah, yeah, he will. He wasn't able to take him down. And then what did he do off of the takedown? He sprawled out and spun around to take the back. Yeah, so he's been practicing his ground game, he's been practicing some Jiu Jitsu, he's been practicing some wrestling, but dude, one thing that you just cannot simulate is that power. And if he touches you, if he just touches him, you know, he doesn't even have to be a full contact blow. It can be a grazing blow. He's gonna go down. Yeah, yeah, so, yeah, I'm going. I'm going Francis Tko round to there, like you, Fonso. What's up? Want to make some money? PUT SOME BET on it? Yeah, I dude. I just put I just played a little five card parley, starting off with Rodolt for on the prelimbs, and I just picked. So I went rodoleful. France isn't gone. New Brandon Moreno, cody steaming and Andre Fialo. So I went to underdogs. So let's see what happens. That's what's up. That's what's up, all right, man. That closes out this event for today.
